Coatbridge High School held 'The Voice' to raise money for Comic Relief on Friday 3rd March. Comic Relief will spend the money raised at Coatbridge High School to help people living tough lives across the UK and Africa.

The winner was Jessica Hillman (S1) who sang 'Holding out for a hero' - Bonnie Tyler. Joint 2nd place was Brooke MacFadyen (S6) who sang 'Titanium' - David Guetta & Sia and Elise Cunningham and Ross McEwan (S5) who performed 'Too Close' - Alex Care. In joint third place was Holly Muir (S3) 'How far I’ll go' - Moana and Jordan Carson (S5) 'Castle on the hill' - Ed Sheeran.

The other contestants that performed on the day were: Amy McWhinnie, Lauren Friel, Connah Grant, Fallon Murray, Ellie Hamill and Adam Marshall. The ten acts that performed were fantastic and it shows just some of the amazing talent we have in Coatbridge High School. Staff came together to organise, present, judge and manage sound for the event.

The commitment from staff and pupils allowed the competition to be a massive success in aid of Comic Relief.
