Literacy Group Word of the Week

Radiation - Energy emitted as waves (or sometime particles) from a source. Radiation is not always dangerous, e.g. visible light and radio waves. Some are dangerous e.g. ultraviolet and gamma.

The word of the week will be available in the daily bulletin each day as well as the school website for that week. The activity is designed to encourage the usage of different words as well as spelling them correctly. However, if it is appropriate they can be included in a quiz, spelling exercise or simply a chat about its usage with pupils. Click on the link below to view the words and their definition that we are using this year.
